A Northern California Lakeside Elopement

Elope : an act or instance of running off secretly, as to be married. Merriam-Webster defines it as “to slip away.”

I treasure elopements. I love love as it comes in any form and any display, but the intimacy and quiet retreat of two souls slipping away to become one is unparalleled in it’s beauty. Andi and Will were no exception, their love was tangible and tender; it filled every room and was impossible not to capture. I consider my job to be the greatest privilege, to witness and preserve these precious moments.

Shasta Lake provided her beautiful beaches to us for an intimate ceremony. These two were surrounded by their closest loved ones and Northern California sunshine as they made their vows to one another and their love and devotion was undeniable. We celebrated the Mr. and Mrs. at their home in Lakehead which was all the more special, as love reached every corner of their home. Their closest friends and family radiated joy, string lights twinkled in the room, and all that light still didn’t outshine the glow of the couple. I am honored to be invited as a photographer for these beautiful days. I am even more honored to leave as a friend who got to celebrate true love.

I will continue to chase love, community and connection forever, capturing these things that are felt and not seen.
