The Perfect Western Wedding Day
On what might have been the perfect August day Seth and Ashely exchanged intimate vows on their family ranch with the mama and baby cows grazing behind them. Surrounded by their closest friends and family with nothin but warm sunshine and rolling clouds around them they started on the beginning of forever. Wanting to keep their day simple they did a backyard theme BBQ cookout, simple thank you gifts inspired by their favorite every day ranch life items and asked their bridal party to wear their work boots along with their formal attire. Ashley kept her wedding dress simple, not feeling the need for the typical western wedding dress and Seth wore his work boots along with his guys. One of my personal favorite things about weddings is how there is no wrong way to do it, want to wear your work boots!? Hell yeah. Want to custom order a belt for you and your guys!? Hell yeah. Want to mix and match with new and old!? More power to ya buddy. I am here to capture all the details YOU want to include in your wedding day.
Here in our gorgeous Northern California most of my western weddings are on family properties and ranches which often end up being my favorite wedding days. Nothing against a formal venue, those have so many perks and are so fun! But there is something so intimate about two becoming one on land that they grew up on and plan to tend to.
One thing I wish all my couples knew more was that your wedding day is YOURS to be exactly how you want it. Especially my western/ranch couples! I want y’all to incorporate exactly who you are into your day so when you look back at your wedding photos you smile because they are actually who you re, not some froofroo version of you.
Pull some inspiration from Seth and Ashely and lets make all your wild western wedding dreams come true. It doesn’t have to suck planning a wedding, let’s make your day about exactly who you are and what your love is.
